Read over the futurist manifesto. http://vserver1.cscs.lsa.umich.edu/~crshalizi/T4PM/futurist-manifesto.html Notice the forceful language. Mimic this language in your own. Give yourself a list of rules that people might follow your style. Please write a manifesto of your design philosophy. Have this designed and printed out for next class. Also I have been remiss - in years past I have allowed students to create a poster for anything based on the style of design that we have been studying for extra credit. Normally these are worth five points a test. Must be printed out and in hand before the test so that we can look at them in class. Because I have forgot this with two tests - I will make one poster worth 10 points retroactively applied to your lowest test. Base your design (this can be a poster for anything / band / tv show / lost cat) on one of the movements that we have covered thus far. Have this printed out in class on Monday to receive the bonus points. MUST BE PRINTED on 11x17 to receive the bonus points.
